As you take two minutes to consider peace for our world today, think about strategies to maintain your personal peace.
This past Remembrance Day the thought of considering Peace for two minutes every day exploded inside me. Remembrance Day comes and goes and life goes on with it's beauty and its conflicts. "The only way to end a culture of violence is to proactively create a culture of peace." Marianne Williamson. I want to take this little 5 letter word and make it the biggest 5 letter word ever. For me that translates to taking two minutes every day to consider peace for our world. Will you join me?

Personal Peace
I have found that alot of my frustrations can be avoided. I try to plan ahead and think about potential conflicts. Then I am prepared and my reactions are so different. Just the other day a friend asked me to accompany her to a walk-in clinic. She was not up to driving and I agreed to take her. Now I was still recovering from the flu, so knew I would be quite easily irritated. I went through possible scenarios with waiting in the clinic and my friend being ill. This was so helpful and I was able to be genuinely compassionate. I was so grateful and I benefited just as much as my friend did. Truthfully most things are not really worth arguing over. I love this strategy to maintain my personal peace.
